We found that traditional cleaning methods employed in this industry often fall short of our personal standard, and as a result we developed our own set of standards, requiring a more stringent inspections and reconditioning process.

We maintain that both visible and hidden areas of your stairlift deserve equal attention. This gives you piece of mind that a reconditioned stairlift contains none of the previous home's dust or contaminants are brought into yours.

This process includes (but isn't limited too):

Step 1. Initial Inspection

The first process is an initial evalutaion of the track and lift unit to determine if suitable for reconditioning. Those that are too old, damaged, or beyond any economical repair will simply not be considered for reconditioning. Even when passing this stage, we note every blemish and mark, how old the stairlift is, how much use it has had, and details on the environment it originally came from. These factors also determine if the unit is suitable for reconditioning and whether the compnents are A or A+ grade.

Step 2. Avanced vapour honing cleaning

We are as far as we are aware the first stairlift installation and reconditioning company to employ this advanced cleaning technique on track and metal components.

High temperature, pressurised water and cleaning solution remove even the toughest buildups of grease and contaminents, neutralising bacteria and toxins during the process.

Step 3. Thorough hand cleaning

Not all components can be cleaned using vapour honing. This necessitates a 3-stage inspection / cleaning process.

All removeable parts are treated in heated cleaning solutions, whilst electrical components are kept away from fluids and manually cleaned and inspected.

Step 4. Testing

Extensive testing is carried out on the stairlift to ensure current safety satndards are adhered to or exceeded.

This includes testing the electronic subsystem ensuring that it can be re-programmed prior to fitting and will record / report any fault conditions as per the manufacturers specifications.

Step 5. Sanitised, cleaned and packed

After all processing, all components thoroughly cleaned and treated with 99.9% alcohol spray to ensure they are in pristine condition and hygienically clean.

After this meticulous process, they are expertly wrapped and air-sealed to maintain their cleanliness until they arrive at your door.
